By means of this notice UNIVERSIA hereby informs Users of its various Internet portals (hereinafter, the "Users" or singularly the "User"), of its policy for the protection of personal data (hereinafter, the "Personal Data") so that Users that provide UNIVERSIA with Personal Data that may be requested upon registering or activating some of the services offered by UNIVERSIA in or through the Portals, are fully aware of the obligatory nature of the provision of data and the purposes for which they will be processed.

Processing of the personal data of the Users of www.universia.com.ar by PORTAL UNIVERSIA ARGENTINA, S.A., shall be governed by the Laws of Argentina, more specifically, by Argentinean Law N° 25,326 on Personal Data Protection, according to which, personal data means "Information of any kind referring to identified or identifiable individuals or legal entities". For the purposes herein, it is further certified that, in Argentina, the DIRECCION NACIONAL DE PROTECCION DE DATOS PERSONALES (Argentinean National Department of Personal Data Protection) is the Supervisory Body of Argentinean Law Nº 25,326 and is responsible for handling complaints and claims filed in relation to failure to comply with the regulations on personal data protection.

It is further certified that, in Uruguay, the Personal Data Regulatory and Supervisory Unit is the Supervisory Body of Uruguayan Law N° 18,331, which is responsible for giving cautions and fines and may apply to the courts through the Agency for the Governance of Electronic Management and Knowledge Information Society (AGESIC) for the temporary suspension of the database.

In compliance with these regulations, the database of Users of these portals is registered with the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
Apart from the PORTALS, the following portal is also subject to the regulations of this Privacy Policy:
- www.universia.net: the owner of this portal is UNIVERSIA HOLDING, S.L., with VAT number B-82976515, registered in the Madrid Business Registry under Volume 16,547, Book 0, Folio 103, Section 8, Page M-281891, Registration 1st, with registered office in Avda Cantabria s/n, Boadilla del Monte, Madrid, Spain, and contact e-mail address contacto@universia.net. This portal does not have a register of Users and therefore does not have its own User database, without prejudice to the fact that the Users of the aforementioned portals may log in to those areas that are hosted under the URL of this portal, without communicating data to UNIVERSIA HOLDING, S.L., which acts as the processor of the personal data of the Users of the PORTALS, in accordance with the provisions of section 3 - Processor of the Users Personal Data. Processing of data by UNIVERSIA HOLDING, S.L. is governed by the Laws of Spain.
2.- Compulsory provision of data for registration in the Portals and purposes of data processing. Sending sales information by means of electronic communications.
The provision of the data required in order to register as a User in the PORTALS and compliance with the requirements is compulsory in order to complete the User registration process. UNIVERSIA reserves the right to amend this privacy policy in order to adapt to changes in legislation or industry practices. In such cases, UNIVERSIA shall announce the changes made on this page with reasonable notice prior to their implementation.
Certain services provided on the PORTALS may contain special terms and conditions with specific provisions regarding Personal Data protection.
The Personal Data collected shall be processed electronically and included in the database of the Portal in which the User registers. The data controller of the electronic database shall be the Universia company that owns the Portal in which the User has registered, as set forth in section 1 - Data controllers of the electronic databases containing the personal data of the UNIVERSIA Portals Users. Applicable regulations.
UNIVERSIA shall provide Users with suitable technical resources in order to allow them to access this Privacy Policy Notice or any other relevant information in advance and provide their consent to allow UNIVERSIA to process their Personal Data electronically.
The User guarantees that the Personal Data provided to UNIVERSIA are true and shall be responsible for notifying the latter of any changes to said data. The User expressly authorises UNIVERSIA to verify the data mentioned, including that the User belongs to a University, through the corresponding universities.
The purpose of the collection and electronic processing of the Personal Data is the creation and maintenance of the contractual relation established with UNIVERSIA, the management, administration, provision, extension and improvement of the services to which the User decides to subscribe, activate or use, the adaptation of said services to the preferences and tastes of the Users, the study of the use of the services by the Users, the design of new services and the sending of technical, operational and sales information about their products and services. The purpose of the collection and electronic processing of the Personal Data also includes the sending of survey forms, to which the User is not obliged to reply.
UNIVERSIA is expressly authorised to use said data for sales and promotional purposes in relation to its products and services, and in relation to the products and services of others, which in no event shall have access to their data. To this end, the User consents to the use of his/her personal data for the purposes indicated, expressly authorising UNIVERSIA to send communications and advertising on UNIVERSIAs own products, services and activities and those of others, including electronic communications (e-mail, text messages or other equivalent means of communication), and regarding academic activities including but not limited to conferences, courses and congresses, or regarding products, services and activities related with research, technology, telecommunications, career opportunities and job hunting, culture, study support and training, the completion of dissertations and projects and free time.
The authorisation of the User to use his/her data for business and promotional purposes, and for the sending of its own sales and advertising information and that of others, including material sent by e-mail, text message or other equivalent means of electronic communication, collected pursuant to the provisions of the paragraph above, has a direct relationship with the creation and maintenance of the contract established with the User owing to the Users registration on the PORTALS, in compliance with the provisions of the Legal Notice.
3 - Processor of the Users Personal Data.
The processor of the personal data of the Users of the PORTALS is UNIVERSIA HOLDING, S.L., with registered office in Avenida de Cantabria s/n, Boadilla del Monte (Madrid, Spain).
As data processor, it is UNIVERSIA HOLDING, S.L. that manages the Users access to the Portals, undertaking the authentication, management and technical administration of the personal data of the Users, without communication of any of the data between the Owners of the portals.
In order to avoid any interference with or improper use of the data, said data are managed by UNIVERSIA HOLDING, S.L., by means of a contract subject to article 12 of Spanish Law 15/1999, dated 13th December 1999, Personal Data Protection and the respective implementation regulations.
Consequently, Users residing outside of Spain are hereby informed and expressly accept that upon registering in any of the PORTALS, their data are transferred to Spain for the purposes of processing said data.
4.- User Access to the Universia network Portals.
Once registered in any of the PORTALS, the User may access or log in to any of the other PORTALS and use the services that require login.
Said access or login in any of the PORTALS by Users of any other Portal shall not entail the communication of the Users personal data to the owner of the portal that the User accesses, providing that, as indicated in the section above, the Organisation that manages access to the PORTALS is the data processor UNIVERSIA HOLDING, S.L.
5.- Communication of data in the UNIVERSIA social network.
The Portals make up a social network that provides communication between its Users, permitting them to share information and connect with friends and new contacts.
Once registered in any of the PORTALS, in addition to the personal data that are compulsory for registration, the User may add their profile and contact data, such as sex, university, profession, area of interest, telephone number, address, etc., which will be available at all times for the User, who shall have the option to amend them through his/her personal page. Likewise, the User may add comments, communications with his/her friends and the activities that the User performs in the PORTALS or on other Internet sites.
The functions and tools of the social network that Universia provides to the Users shall permit communication of said personal data, comments and activities to friends and others; said communication shall be made in accordance with the privacy settings that the User sets on his/her personal page.
UNIVERSIA provides the User with various levels of privacy in order to guarantee the security and control of his/her personal data. The User shall be exclusively responsible for his/her data privacy settings, which permit the User to keep control of the content he/she shares with the other Users at all times.
Should the User fail to personalise his/her data privacy, the default privacy settings provided by the PORTALS shall be applied. The User authorises and expressly accepts said default settings upon registering in the Portals, which, providing that the User does not change them, which shall be possible at any time, shall be as follows:
Only friends of the User can see:
o The Users photo, name, surname, date of birth, country of residence, sex and profile information (pre-college student, undergraduate, etc.)
o The Users list of friends, the activities that the User publishes on his/her bulletin board and his/her activities on other networks.
The User may appear in the searches that Users perform in any of the PORTALS, with the following data: photo, name, surname, activity on other networks and summary of his/her activities on UNIVERSIA.
The User will have a public page in which his/her photograph, name and surname will appear. Said page will be visible in the Portal of the Universia social network in which the user is registered for all internet users, given that it will be possible to access the page using Internet search engines, such as Google, Yahoo, etc.
The name, surname and photo of the User may appear in PORTAL promotional spaces owing to being the most active User, as a suggestion for a possible contact for other Users, because the User belongs to a certain University or performs a certain activity, etc.
The name, surname, photograph and profile data of the User (pre-university student, undergraduate, post-graduate, university, profession, etc.), may appear in the user directories that Universia prepares by University, geographical location, profession and other profile data in order to promote use of the social network and to make it easier to use.
6.- Communication of data in Escucha Universia.
Within the PORTALS, UNIVERSIA provides Users with the Escucha Universia subportals (hereinafter, collectively, Escucha Universia or, any one of them individually, Escucha Universia Subportal).
Registration of the User and User participation in any of the Escucha Universia Subportals, entails the express acceptance of the User that the data indicated below shall be visible in all of them (described below), as all visitors and Users shall be able to access said data.
The User data that will be visible in all the Escucha Universia Subportals are as follows:
- USER name, name, surname and age (compulsory data to allow registration).
- Length of time registered.
- The Users town, if provided in Your Profile in the www.escucha.universia portal where the User is registered.
- The Users nº of favourites, favourite genres, Myspace, personal Web page, description, groups, your favourites, agenda and image gallery, if these data are provided or contents in the Your Profile section in the www.escucha.universia Portal where the User is registered.
- The contents and information (description, members, images, videos, blogs, etc.) of the group that the User creates in the www.escucha.universia Portal where the User is registered.

The User therefore provides his/her consent, pursuant to the operational regulations of Escucha Universia, to allow the aforementioned data and contents uploaded to the Escucha Universia Subportals, to be seen not only in the Escucha Universia Subportal in which the User is registered, but also in the other Escucha Universia Subportals in the other countries of the Universia network, listed above, without the communication of personal data between the organisations responsible for them.
Said visibility of data and contents uploaded to any Escucha Universia Subportal makes up part of the function of Escucha Universia, as a music social network, therefore, if the User does not agree with this condition, he/she may not register in Escucha Universia.
7.- Data security
UNIVERSIA has adopted the legally required Personal Data Protection security levels and ensures the installation of other available media and additional technical means in order to avoid the loss, misuse, alternation, unauthorised access or theft of the Personal Data provided to UNIVERSIA.
However, the User must be aware that Internet security measures are not failsafe.
8.- User Rights
The Portal Users have and may exercise the rights to access, correct, object to or cancel their personal data, by contacting the Universia Company that owns the Portal in which they are registered. Said rights may be exercised as follows:
